Why Compounded GLP-1 Prices Vary: Billing, Fees and Commitments

Prescription costs itemised in a budget notebook beside a calculator and pill bottle

A low monthly equivalent can hide a large payment today. Compare the amount charged, the billing interval, the commitment and what happens if treatment ends early.

Start with the payment, not the headline

Two prices written as “per month” may describe different purchases: a recurring monthly payment, an annual payment divided by twelve, or a promotional starting rate. They are not interchangeable. Before comparing providers, write down the amount due today and the date and amount of the next charge.

For example, Trimi’s homepage checked on 17 September lists compounded semaglutide at $1,188 upfront for twelve months, equivalent to $99 per month, or $175 per month with no commitment. Tirzepatide is $1,500 upfront, equivalent to $125 per month, or $235 per month with no commitment. A monthly equivalent describes the arithmetic; it does not mean you pay that amount each month.

Our earlier version repeated a $59 WellMedr price and an annualized total based on it. Those figures have been withdrawn from this guide. The updated WellMedr review explains the current advertising and billing questions to resolve with a written quote.

Compare like with like

What to record Why it changes the comparison
Amount due today An annual prepaid offer requires more cash at checkout than a monthly plan.
Renewal interval A 28-day charge occurs more frequently than a calendar-month charge.
Minimum commitment A lower equivalent price may require paying for a longer period.
Medication and services included Separate consultation, membership, laboratory or shipping fees can change the total.
Price after an introduction The first payment may differ from later payments.
Cancellation and refund terms Stopping renewal and receiving money back are separate questions.

For a hypothetical recurring quote of $100 every 28 days, the annualized rate is about $1,304. That estimate is useful for comparison, but the actual number of charges in your first year depends on the starting payment and billing dates. Use the billing calculator with the schedule in your own offer.

Read the exit terms before prepaying

A treatment plan can change for clinical or personal reasons. Ask how the provider handles cancellation before prescribing, after prescribing and during a prepaid term. Do not assume that a promise to stop future renewals means unused months are refundable.

Trimi’s September 11 policy describes a full refund before prescription issuance and a separate satisfaction promise with eligibility conditions. Its annual pricing should therefore be considered alongside the current pricing and refund review, rather than treated as a commitment-free monthly offer.

For WellMedr, use the updated cancellation guide. Save the terms accepted with your purchase and ask how those terms apply to your order.

Price does not establish clinical quality

A price comparison cannot tell you which treatment is appropriate, whether two preparations are interchangeable, or what an individual’s results will be. The FDA says compounded GLP-1 drugs are not approved and have not undergone its review for safety, effectiveness and quality. See the FDA’s explanation and discuss treatment options with a licensed clinician.

Our reviews examine public pricing and policies. We have not tested these treatments or verified that a particular patient will receive a prescription, refund or advertised rate.

Questions to copy before checkout

  1. What exact amount will be charged today, and on which dates will further charges occur?
  2. Is the advertised monthly figure a recurring payment or an annual prepaid equivalent?
  3. Which services and medication costs are included, and what could cost extra?
  4. Can the price change during my selected term or at renewal?
  5. What happens to my payment if I am not prescribed treatment or need to stop early?
  6. How do I cancel renewal and receive written confirmation?
