Microdose GLP-1 Programs Compared: Prices From 4 Telehealth Providers

The short version

“Microdose” GLP-1 programs sell compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide at doses below the usual treatment range. Published prices run from $79 to $199 a month: CoreAge Rx is cheapest, bmiMD sits in the middle, and SHED and Lemonaid cost the most. Before you compare prices, know that no clinical trial has tested GLP-1 microdosing as these programs market it, and the benefits on their pages are claims, not proven results.

Working out your dose? Our tirzepatide dosage chart covers the Zepbound titration schedule from 2.5 mg to 15 mg, weight loss by dose, and how to convert compounded mg to mL and units.

What the first three months cost

Microdose plans are usually sold as an ongoing program, so the first three months are a fairer comparison than a single month.

Provider Semaglutide, 3 months Tirzepatide, 3 months How we calculated it
CoreAge Rx $237 $387 Starting monthly price × 3
PlexusDx $267 $267 3-month plan, $89 × 3
bmiMD $357 $477 Published 3-month plan total
SHED $447 $597 Starting monthly price × 3
Gala Health — $447 $149 × 3, but sold on a yearly plan
Lemonaid Health $695 $695 $199 × 3 plus two months of membership

These are our sums from published starting prices. Your price can be higher if a provider charges more for higher doses or adds fees at checkout.

What microdosing is, and what the evidence says

There is no standard definition of a GLP-1 “microdose.” The providers above describe it as a smaller-than-usual dose of compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, set by their clinicians. None of their pages lists a specific milligram dose.

The approved drugs, Wegovy and Zepbound, start at low doses only as a step toward a higher maintenance dose. Staying at a very low dose long term has not been studied in clinical trials. Doctors and researchers interviewed by STAT in November 2025 said there is little clinical proof that tiny doses of semaglutide or tirzepatide deliver the benefits telehealth companies advertise.

Read the claims carefully. CoreAge’s tirzepatide microdose page lists benefits such as “enhanced insulin sensitivity” and a “lower side effect profile at microdoses,” and adds that “these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.” Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved, and microdosing is an off-label use.

Questions to ask before you start

  • What dose will I take, in milligrams, and how often? “Microdose” alone doesn’t tell you.
  • How long does one vial last at that dose? This turns a monthly price into a cost per dose.
  • What happens to the price if I move to a standard dose? SHED’s help center, for example, says doses above 0.9 mg move you to a $299 Standard plan.
  • Is there a minimum commitment? SHED requires two months; bmiMD’s best price needs a 3-month plan.

Common questions

What is the cheapest microdose GLP-1 program?

CoreAge Rx, from $79 a month for semaglutide and $129 for tirzepatide, among the programs we checked on October 24, 2026.

Is GLP-1 microdosing FDA-approved?

No. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved, and taking them at low doses for “metabolic” or longevity goals is off-label.

Does microdosing cause fewer side effects?

Lower doses of GLP-1 drugs generally cause fewer stomach side effects in the approved drugs’ titration schedules, but microdosing itself has not been tested in trials, so there is no reliable data on its benefits or risks.

Can I switch from a microdose to a full dose later?

Usually, yes, after a clinician review, but the price may change. Ask before you prepay a multi-month plan.
